    General Surgery - The CME organized by the Department of General Surgery in association with IMA Palakkad will address the latest developments in the management of trauma.

    Microbiology - CME on “Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance” was conducted on 2nd February 2019.  Few eminent personalities in the field from Kerala were our guest speakers.  One hundred and two delegates participated in CME.  A poster competition was also conducted for the post graduates and prizes were distributed.  TCMC credit hours of 3 were allotted for the CME.

    Pathology – 10th National CME in Pathology. “Minimalist Pathology-2019” (Small biopsies & Cytology – Non-Gynaec) at Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi, Kerala

     Microbiology (Academic)

    I. World AIDS day December-2018 was celebrated on 1.12.2018.  To commemorate the World AIDS day few competitions were conducted for MBBS students.

    II. Student Activities – a) case based learning and small group teaching was conducted for the students.

    b) Students of all batches and Dr.Lalu Raju.C, Tutor, Department of Microbiology participated in two exhibitions.  Exhibits of several infections including Nipah virus outbreak were displayed and awareness regarding the same was conveyed to the audience.

    c) Several periodic assessments other than the routine KUHS advised internal assessments and model exams were conducted after each topic to motivate the students to improve their academics for all the batches.
